The renovation project of the San Firenze building is an operational condition for the development of the ABF Globalab educational programme: a container of projects in the field of school, career and vocational guidance characterised by the adoption of a practical-experiential methodology, which is embodied in training opportunities and experiences essentially in the form of workshops and of an interactive-cooperative nature, aimed at empowering and guiding subjects in the broadest and most meaningful sense.
Within the context of this agreement, GlobaLab is an empowerment programme aimed at young people between the age of 16 and 25 in the two segments 16-19 and 19-25. The basis is a proposal for scholastic-orientation and not – which is rooted in a deep bond between the quality of individual existence and the need to enhance and strengthen opportunities for relationships, experimentation and reflection that focus on research, the discovery and care of one’s own talents and intelligence as well as that of others.
The key theme of the ABF GlobaLab Med is communication, with a particular focus on the role of non- (extra and para) verbal communication.
After the construction of the “Giacomo Leopardi” school in Sarnano, and of the primary school in Muccia in the province of Macerata, the Andrea Bocelli Foundation started a new project in Camerino, in the Marche Region, aimed at building the new Palazzo della Musica which was destroyed by the earthquake that hit Central Italy in 2016, which has been keeping on tormenting that land ever since.
With this project, the Andrea Bocelli Foundation decided to support Haitian doctors in the path to access the specialisation course for surgeons offered by Italian and European universities. I
After rebuilding the “G. Leopardi” Middle School in Sarnano, the “E. De Amicis” School Complex in Muccia and the “F. Corelli” Music Academy in Camerino, the Andrea Bocelli Foundation is dedicating a new project to the Marche region, to rebuild the IPSIA “R. FRAU” Vocational School, in San Ginesio (MC), which will see the construction of a school designed and developed according to the guidelines of the Foundation’s team of experts.
Since 2019 ABF has been implementing the Art & Music Labs projects – centered around the expressive languages of art and music as resources for fostering, supporting and promoting the talent of every child. At the same time, ABF is promoting the use of new educational technologies in its school and hospital school network, which is part of the AOPI (the Italian Pediatric Hospitals Association): a precious tool for communication and curricular integration, with the aim of improving quality and advancing educational innovation.
The ABF H-LABS Project incorporates and implements the intervention models that were trialed in the ABF School Network within Italian pediatric hospitals, with the aim of giving hospitalized children and students beautiful, curated and welcoming places where they can interact with others.
The Andrea Bocelli Foundation (ABF) has welcomed the “Zerosei Alessandro Bocelli Center” in Lajatico (Pisa) into its roster of projects that includes the building of educational centers and schools where the musical languages are encouraged, both as an educational tool for the children and as a source of aggregation and culture for the community.
