Andrea Bocelli Foundation and Fondation St. Luc inaugurated the Notre Dame Du Rosaire and St. Philomene Schools in Haiti
After 2 years of hard work and cooperation we are proud to announce that the schools object of the EDU Project has been opened.
Starting from simple street schools on 2012 in the wish to stabilize the number of the students and the approach to education from the 3 communities with EDU PRoject, the Notre Dame du Rosaire and St Philomene schools have been structured and improved with updated learning programs, ongoing training for teachers, full furnished classrooms, library, computer labs, kitchen in order to bring the level of the education and services to the national and international standard.
ABF and St Luc were together in Haiti to celebrate this moment as one great family, it has been an important moment not only to share with the students and their families but also for both the communities that participated enthusiastically at the work in progress and the ceremony.
Maestro Bocelli, in the role of founder of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, with his family has celebrated this great team result, reached in just 10 months, by being in Haiti on this day and declaring his special closeness to the Haitian people, sharing with everyone the following words: " Only working together, hand in hand, we can do something great that goes beyond ourselves"
