In Milan, on May 25th 2016 a spectacular charity event never realized before
International music stars and legends of football for a unique night of music, sport and solidarity at
the Expo Open Air Theatre in Milan.
Milan (ITALY) – Two world legends of music and sport will be for the first time together on the same stage for a unique show: Andrea Bocelli and Javier Zanetti are proud to announce “Bocelli and Zanetti Night”, an international charity event that will be held on May 25th, 2016 at 21.00 at the Expo Open Air Theatre in Milan.
Bound by a strong social commitment, friendship and mutual esteem, Bocelli and Zanetti have decided to join forces for a unique night of solidarity which will be an opportunity to celebrate the reopening of the Expo site and symbolically introduce the final of the UEFA Champions League that will be played in Milan three days later.
International music stars and football legends will be together as never happened before to help disadvantaged people. The funds raised during the event will be devolved to P.U.P.I. Foundation Onlus www.fondazionepupi.org and to Andrea Bocelli Foundation, engaged in specific projects focused on the education of children of South and Central America.
Funds raised through all activities related to the event will be in favour of the project “Educated towards a better world”, born from the common will of the two Foundations to use both education as a way to self-affirmation of children and their families in poor areas and school as a place to guarantee the opportunity to fulfill their potential for their own development. This in order to generate the consciuosness that change must go to and from them.
The fundraising will help to ensure access to education to over 500 children in Buenos Aires and 1,750 students in Haiti.
The setlist of the event includes a series of musical performances of the highest level which will involve, together with the Tuscan tenor directed by Zubin Mehta, international artists highly appreciated such as Laura Pausini, beloved Italian artist who has sold millions of records worldwide, who will participate with a surprise and a special contribution. Skin – charismatic leader of Skunk Anansie – the first to be announced will also be part of show together with many of the most famous names of Italian music.
A unique musical proposal that will be further enhanced by the presence of the champion Javier Zanetti, “landlord” and special entertainer, accompanied by champions and coaches of international football including Josè Mourinho, Paolo Maldini winner of 5 Uefa Champions League, 5 European Supercups, 2 Intercontinental Cups, 1 Club World Cup, Samuel Eto’o protagonist with Javier Zanetti of the 2010 “Triplete” and winner of 2 other UEFA Champions League, 1 Intercontinental Cup , 1 Club World Cup, Clarence Seedorf, the only player in the history of football to win 4 Champions League with three different teams and many other great stars of international football.
The night will be further enriched by an exclusive dinner which will take place after the concert made by renowned Starry Chefs of the “Nazionale Italiana Ristoratori”. This unique dinner will offer a special menu created for the first time by four artists of cooking exceptionally together for this wonderful night!
