An international scholarship that will open the doors of the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London to emerging singers who would otherwise be unable to access it or continue their training at this institution due to social or financial reasons.

The initiative, created by the Andrea Bocelli Foundation and the Community Jameel, was signed on November 23 during a visit to London’s RCM by our founder, Andrea Bocelli, and Mohammed Jameel KBE, the Founder of the Community Jameel, as well as a member of ABF’s Advisory Board.

This scholarship, which is based on merit and need, will support the talented students who attend the Royal College of Music full-time and thereby help them to access world-class training.

During the ceremony, the Director of the RCM, Colin Lawson remarked upon the prestigious college’s gratitude to ABF and the Community Jameel for the strong synergy and commitment to the Royal College of Music’s “More Music” campaign: “This new scholarship will give young singers each year the remarkable opportunity to study at the RCM without financial burden. One of the More Music Campaign’s key aims is to make music education available to all; philanthropic partners such as this are vital to this vision”.
