Thanks to the 2016 edition of Celebrity Fight Night in Italy, ABF will ensure continuous access to education to the 2,550 students of the five schools of S. Philomene, St. Augustin, Notre Dame du Rosaire, Manitane Dame Marie and St. Raphael. It also guarantees a salary to the teachers as well as all necessary health treatments for children. The communities where are located ABF schools (Kenscoff, Abricots, Croix-des-Bouquet, Dame Marie e Jacmel), are among the poorest and most marginalized in the country. Here neither basic services nor infrastructures are provided by the Haitian communities. ABF therefore continues to pursue the project of community development to give the possibility of a decent life.
ABF has been in Haiti since 2012, thanks to the funds collected during the first two Italian editions of Celebrity Fight Night (2014 e 2015), has been able to convert three street schools in permanent and functional structures, allowing students and teachers to use the instruments necessary for study and work at the height of national and international standards. Abf has also initiated new projects for the development of the three communities of Kenscoff, Abricot e Croix-des-Bouquets, through the distribution of solar lamps, of agriculture training and further activities like the construction of towers for water supply and purification systems for the same.
